Introduction

Welcome to Nocturnal!

Nocturnal is an open source, highly customizable portfolio site template built with Gatsby React and TailwindCSS. I initially developed this project to provide my friends with a template to effortlessly create their own stylish and personalized portfolio websites, designed after my own. After requiring to change the content of my portfolio regularly, I decided that this project should as much as possible, minimize fuss and unpredictibility involved in regular updates.

Implementation Approach

In order to achieve the objective, I implemented these features:

• YAML Content Mapping: Uses a series of YAML Configuration files with an intuitive syntax to personalize site content.
• Step-By-Step Blog: Developed this blog that offers step-by-step instructions to foster faster adoption for using this template.
• Optional Integrations: Provides the option to use Terraform IaC to provision AWS resources, allowing for your portfolio site to be publicly available. You can also integrate the project with Gitlab CI/CD or Github Actions to set up a deployment workflow.
